Day 02:- Rishikesh to Guptkashi or Sitapur (210Kms / 8 hrs)
After yummy breakfast check out from the hotel in Rishikesh and drive to Guptkashi or Sitapur on your Kedarnath dham yatra and Badrinath Dham yatra, Guptakashi/ Sitapur which is 190-220 kms from Rishikesh. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Rest of the day free after a long road journey to explore the Guptakashi town. Overnight stay in Guptkashi or Sitapur.
Guptakashi which is a fairly large town of Garhwal region located at 1,320 metres elevation above the sea level in the Kedar-Khanda (khanda means sector), It is in Garhwal part of Uttarakhand in Rudraprayag district. It is famous for its ancient Vishwanath Temple dedicated to the Lord Shiva, which is very similar to the one in Varanasi (Kashi). The other well-known temple here is dedicated to Ardhanareshvara, half man and half woman form of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. The Guptakashi has legendary significance linked to the Pandavas, the heroes of the Mahabharata. Its religious importance is considered next to that of Varanasi or Kashi. The temple town is located on the way to the Kedarnath Temple of Lord Shiva, one of the Chota Char Dhams and Panch Kedar. It has the breathtaking backdrop of the snow-covered peaks of Chaukhamba in winters.

Day 03:- Guptakashi/ Sitapur to Kedarnath temple darshan and Kedarnath temple to  Sitapur/Guptakashi (30kms/7 Kms drives + 20 Km trek / 07-08 Hrs)
Early morning drop at Sonprayag on your Ek Dham Kedarnath yatra for pony ride or at your helipad as per your chopper timing. For Pony take sharing cab to Gaurikund from Sonprayag, From Gaurikund you will start your 16 kms journey to Kedarnath dham trek with pony or Doli (Cost Not Included). River Mandakini, one of the main tributaries of the Holy river Ganges originates at Kedarnath and flows through Gaurikund, you may take bath at a hot spring at Gaurikund. Chant with other pilgrims on the way who are coming from all around India chanting Jai Bholenath or Har Har Mahadev or Jai Shiv Shambho. Sometimes huge mist would envelop the mountains and slowly it would go away, revealing a shiny blinding-white snow capped peak. On Arrival go for darshan of Lord Shiva inside Kedarnath temple, you will be amazed by the beauty of this Holy town, After darshan click as many pics you want to capture the temple with stunning mountains in the background.
