Churches at Old Goa - Old Goa was a mesmerising city way before the Portuguese arrived in 1510. Goa had been the capital town of the Bahmani Sultan Adil Shah. The huge palace of Adil Shah, it was surrounded by big fort walls, towers and a moat was located here as well as many temples and mosques. Sad part is none of these structures remain in existence today except for the ruins of the gateway to the palace.
